John Coppinger was born on July 13, 1947 in England. He is known for his work on Il quinto elemento (1997), Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983) and Star Wars: Episodio I – La minaccia fantasma (1999).
John Coppinger played Graxol Kelvyyn in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Wookiee Senator Yarua in the same movie. He was also the sculptor of Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi
